Puerto Rico – Maria Aftermath – a status update

We are – as everybody, deeply shocked to see the devastation left by hurricane Maria. As of this date, the power grid is still down, most power is by generator. ATM machines are limited, fuel is limited, food requiring refrigeration is very limited. The situation changes not just by the day, but by the hour. Please find some updates below. These are subject to change, but it is a starting point:

Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU)

Radar functionality is limited and impacting the number of flights in and out of the airport. Even so the airport is functional, the schedule is very limited. Operational hours are from 7AM to 5PM (EDT). No international flights to date. Airport authorities and the US Federal Aviation Administration are working to improve the situation. Increases in capacity are expected when technical restrictions ease.

Other Puerto Rico Airports

Operational with limited services and capacities. Please contact your airline before travelling. Do not expect anything to run smooth and easy after arrival.

The Ports

Open with restrictions and during daylight hours only.
