This December, the 3rd MICE West Africa Forum & Expo will take place from December 13 – 15, 2018 in Accra, Ghana. The event is designed to familiarize buyers with the Ghanaian and West African suppliers to the MICE industry and assist buyers in selecting the most suitable partners for their events.

The hosted buyer applications will open within the next couple of days – please mark your calendar and save the dates for MICE West Africa Forum & Expo and its Pre-show site inspection days:

On December 11 you will enjoy the Accra City tour and on December 12 you will experience the first Ghanaian capital city - Cape Coast! Stay tuned for further Details of the pre-show site inspection programme are to be revealed soon!

To be accepted as a hosted buyer, you need to oversee organizing MICE events in Ghana and/or West Africa and be the final decision maker or part of the decision-making committee. You will need to proof your responsibility with past event references which will be verified by the MICE West Africa Hosted Buyer Team.

Accepted hosted buyers will receive:
  • International round-trip flights, airfare will be reimbursed up to a pre-determined maximum amount
  • Accommodation at Accra for 1 to 4 nights.
  • Local airport and ground transfers according to the event schedule
  • Access to MICE West Africa Forum & Expo and a minimum of 8 pre-determined priority appointments per day with the suppliers of your choice
  • Access to the Hosted Buyer Lounge with complimentary refreshments and meals,
  • At MICE West Africa Forum & Expo, a dedicated badge facility and the onsite support team and other staff to assist you daily and free Wi-Fi at the forum and in the expo.

Qualifications

To be accepted on to the Hosted Buyer Programme, all applicants will be required to demonstrate the international business that they have responsibility for or are looking to place. IMEX Group will then qualify the application based on the established criteria of the IMEX Hosted Buyer Programme.

The Programme includes:

Optional Attendance at SmartMonday for all delegates! Please check Monday's fantastic programme here before applying to the hosted buyer programme!

For European Buyers:

  • 2 full days of attendance at IMEX in Frankfurt - 15 and 16 May 2018 and the chance to meet at least 16 suppliers of your choice prearranged yourself through the IMEX appointment system;
  • Option to extend your attendance to 3 full days at IMEX in Frankfurt - 15 to 17 May 2018 and to meet at least 24 suppliers
  • Option to attending Smart Monday – the hotel night from Monday to Tuesday is at your own expense!
  • Transportation: Economy class flights from selected destinations or - for delegates travelling inside Germany train tickets - to/from Frankfurt;
  • Accommodation one night in 4/5-star accommodation in Frankfurt for your programme dates - two nights for buyers attending all 3 days. Exclusions

The arrangement does not include additional expenses such as meals, any personal extras at the hotel. These should be settled directly with the hotel upon your departure, hotel upgrades, taxi fares if arriving / departing outside Hosted Buyer Programme dates, visa application fees, travel Insurance, health insurance for Germany… You must ensure that you have comprehensive travel insurance to cover your trip to attend IMEX in Frankfurt. The Nordic MICE Summit

The Denmark-based Congress Consulting Management Group (www.ccmg.dk) has launched a new forum primarily for the Nordic MICE Market – The Nordic MICE Summit.

The event will take place from 1st – 3rd November 2018, at Malmö’s new meeting place, The Clarion Hotel and Congress Malmö Live, situated in the heart of the attractive and modern city of Malmö, Sweden just a few steps from the Central Station and within a view of the neighbour city of Copenhagen (from the 25th floor).

With two international airports and 142 direct routes worldwide within 30 minutes from the city center, Malmö is a creative melting pot of two countries and their cultures as well as a frontrunner in sustainability and green meetings.

The event will host around 80 high level MICE Suppliers with a strong focus on the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, as well as around 60 high potential MICE Buyers primarily from the Nordics but also from the rest of Europe.
